Welcome!

My name is copper and I'm a FLyer!

The Fleshlight is a sexual aid, which to me, is like no other. The interchangeable inserts are made of a specifically-developed polymer that truly feels life-like. They are available in different colors, three degrees of tightness, as well as various types of feelings. The insert is used inside a case. The case may be held in the hand(s), set-up for a "hands-free" approach, or even attached to motorized stroking machines!

It's easy to use. You warm your insert, lube it and yourself, have a go at it & clean-up with ease. That's a summary. There are a lot of adjustables before,in between and afterward. I'll do my best to fill in the blanks here @Copper's Corner!

Most of you undoubtedly will know me from "The FleshBoard" at Fleshlight.com. This forum provides an honest, vibrant exchange of methods, tricks, tools, etc. and continues to thrive in traffic from fellow pleasure-seekers! Being involved with this ever-changing crowd for over a year, and from experiments & experiences of my own, I've learned quite a few things. This site's mission is to share that knowledge in a concise, non-BS format; much like a reference guide. The "Contents" sidebar to the right provides a fast access point to reach what you want to read about. You may even want to bookmark (Ctrl-D) this site, for future use.

In addition, I will occasionally share a technique I have discovered or post from fellow FLyers. Sometimes, I throw in a joke, as well. It's a dynamic site as I continue to post & update when I can.

I hope you find the information here helpful. Please feel free to comment, or ask a question by sending me an email: copperscorner@yahoo.com

Which Insert is Best for Me?

The first question I hear from new or investigating members is “So copper, which one’s your favorite” or “Which insert’s the best?”. This usually leads to a conversation where I ask about their size (including girth, aka circumference) and what they think they want in a feel.

General:
Size is the most important factor in deciding between a Regular all the way up to the UT; length, and more so, girth. Length isn’t as much of a factor as it used to be, since the newer inserts action (ribs, waves & bumps as well as tightness) starts so much sooner.

The tightness desired is the other key to a better selection. Some guys like it tight as a garden hose while others like their watermelon parlay.

I am about 7” long and 5.5" in girth and I like my feeling somewhere in between the extremes: kinda like what I’ve personally experienced in real sex.

Please keep in my mind that both of these factors are adjustable by choice of dilution and frequency of lube. (More on that later.)

Inserts:

There are currently 7 different inserts available:

Regular (Reg),
Super Tight (ST),
Super Tight Speed Bump (STSB),
Super Tight Wonder Wave (STWW),
Super Tight Super Ribbed (STSR),
Ultra Tight (UT) and
Stamina Training Unit.

A Word about "Gold"!
There has been some confusion about what gold really is. That's because ILF released the first prototype models made from the new rods in a new, gold-colored insert. The success was astounding, and well deserved. It was exactly what us "veterans" had been asking for in an insert.

Because of the reception, they released a new line of ST models using the new molding rods in almost all of the same colors. So when someone says the "gold series", they are referring to the newer ST models versus the older style; and not necessarily the color.

The Regular – This was my first purchase (old style) along with an STWW. I must say that I still never hesitate to grab that one and load it in the case, when I want a really nice, long, easy ride. This one is perfect to preview the newest DVD you just picked up. A guy thinner than 5” MAY want to skip this one. For all others, it should be a standard in your toolkit!

Super Tight – I never was the craziest about the old ST model. STWW was nice but I used to get “rug burns” on my rod. Maybe it’s because the new Gold ST series starts earlier, that copper taught himself how to lube better. (Like I said, more on that later.)Whatever; this new series is perfect for me. (ST comprises 2/3 of the total portfolio.) The ST itself has a smooth canal with a very nice snugness.

STSB – The bump is the latest rendition of a style that ILF has to offer. And it’s a pretty nifty one! Look at that picture. You see those nubs? Well, those bumps touch every part of your rod going in and coming out and send these neuro-signals back to your brain, screaming "I'm in love!". This baby is one of my two personal favorites. I keep this one close to the shower for a regular get-together.

STWW – Ah! But copper likes his waves! There are ringlets running down the length of the canal that go over your shaft and just suck you: both in and out. My STWW is my other current favorite! (That's for today, BTW) My favorite exercise with it is to keep the end cap off and lube it just right. The ripple noise of your dickhead passing over the waves makes you wanna say "Surf's up!". I keep my STWW in coppers corner, where I can keep it warm and waiting in my heating pad for my beck and call!

STSR – I have a love/hate relationship with my STSR! The damn thing makes me shoot the hardest orgasms I’ve had, but it’s so good that I can’t take my time, because my dick keeps screaming at me “LET ME COME!”. Ribs are like waves, only there’s a whole lot more of them. This is a good one for wanting to get off real quick and hard! Caution: Do not insert when extremely horney!

UT – Whoa! That UT is tight all right! I recently got one for myself because so many have raved about it. Personally, I don't care for it because I found it too tight.

I even tried using Astroglide straight from the bottle (undiluted) and it was still quite uncomfortable for me. If you want virgin, like you never will know virgin, this is probably right up your alley! If you wanna fuck the tightest “tool” available, then this is it. No ribs, no waves, no bumps; just total tightness! For me, give me more room to move and some bumps and waves to ride!

Stamina Training Unit - To sum it up in a sentence: It’s like a hybrid of the STWW and the STSB. The nubs are bigger and extend like the rings of the WW. The bumps are there like the SB, but are less “pin-pointing” on your manhood. If you are considering STWW or STSB as a single insert, this is a good compromised solution.

After my initial trials, I have used the STU a number of times in between sessions with the STSB, STWW and my trusty older Super Ribbed. The insert is very good and many of you will love it. I find it works best for me when I'm in the mood for a longer session than the STSB allows me as the nubs, being larger are actually more subtle in their intensity.

My Last Order - A Recap

Well, I just finished my first lab test of the latestinsert, the STU and it was definitely a good time had. But let me back up because I want to cover a number of things with this post.

I ordered the insert immediately after finding out from the Board that it was available. One look at the picture and I bit; hook, line & sinker.

I used my copperscorner@yahoo.com email address for the order and I received a confirmation immediately. I ordered on a Tuesday night (after hours) and got the “shipped” notice Wednesday. By Thursday, I could track the shipment. I live on the East Coast and it has historically taken 5 biz days to arrive. True to the norm, it arrived the next Wednesday.

It was a bigger, yet just as discreet box. I thought “Damn! Dan sent me that lube he promised the first 5 buyers”. But alas, the insert is shipped in a baggie outside the case requiring the larger box. (They should work on the efficiency of that.)

I learned that the STU cannot be a part of the 3-4-2 deal as well, so you have to take the case as well. I now have 4 cases. (What am I supposed to do with four cases? Have an FL orgy? Well, I have had a few of those, but there is a limit, if you know what I mean.)

Speaking of the case, the STU was shipped with the grey case and I noticed immediately that the standard case has been improved to the standards used to improve to produce the “Gold” case. The original case was more flimsy. The threads now are pleasantly uncomplicated to start and tighten. The retaining ring is the same improvement made with the “Gold” case as well.

The case though seemed slick. I washed it out with soap and water, because it felt oily and I had the insert in there with the eccky powder it ships with.

I washed the insert thoroughly and wrapped it in paper towels to absorb the outside wetness. It was noticeably still sticky. I re-powdered it with Gold’s Bond Powder and made sure all the sticky fins were “un-stuck”. I worked the powder into the insert and used my fingers to make sure it was thoroughly worked in.

I shook off the excess powder and wrapped it in my heating pad. Two hours later, it was “Showtime!”.

I was worked up and ready. I was hard and lubed. My insert got its dose of lube and I pushed in. Ohh! It was sweet!

When I finished my business, I took the FL apart and dropped it in a bucket of clean water, warm water. A quick shake and a couple of paper towels and the case was clean. I then made sure the insert was clean by doing the "finger handshake", two fingers from each hand in both ends. I then moved them all around underwater, to make sure all the nooks in crannies were rinsed out. A little drip-dry shake to remove the excess water was next. I then rolled the insert up in a two-length set of fresh paper towels leaving the ends exposed for air. I put the insert in a well circulated spot concealed behind a box on a high shelf and it was ready for me when I was ready for it.

Buying Guide

OK, so hopefully you’re ready to indulge yourself and join the Club. Navigating through the Fleshlight site can be confusing at times. Here are some tips:

· When "Gold" had its debut, ILF added the "New Stuff" on its website. Since then, the whole series was released under "Special Inserts". Today, it's appropriately refered to as "Enhanced Sensations".

Other than the regular insert, you can find all the other Gold series inserts under “Enhanced Sensations”.

· The three-for-two (342) deal is the best bet for anyone that’s willing to test this line’s different inserts for the various sensations afforded you. If you can order a 342, you will need to order a case as well, to make the package whole.

You can order basically any insert you want as long as supplies last for the phased out insert line. The drop down menus could be selected with anything, then if you go to the Comments section of your order, just list the exact inserts you want. If you want 3 of the same thing, you could get it! Not suggested, but the flexibilty is there! This further enhances the 342 as the best deal in checking out the Fleshlight.

· If you can only afford or want a single insert purchase, pick your choice from “Which Insert is Best for Me?”

The best way to acquire a FL is to use a credit card online. However, they do accept Money Orders and personal checks. But you will have to wait at least another week for the check to clear. That delay, added to the UPS pony express shipment will no doubt leave your nuts in knots.

If you are concerned about your order, didn't receive an email confirmation or want to make a last minute tweak to your order, the best bet is call the toll-free number (877) 251-5355 during their business hours. (Pacific Time Zone) They have been very friendly and accommodating to me during the two times I needed to call.

Good luck! If you have any questions, please post a comment or email me. copperscorner@yahoo.com

All Night Long! or Making it Last

Often, I hear of guys complaining that it doesn’t last long for them and that they want to be able to go at it longer before they explode. Lordy, lordy do I know the frustration! I had that experience when I first slipped into the Super Tight Super Ribbed. I still struggle to make myself last longer with that insert!

But I can make it last pretty darn long in most other cases, when I’m blessed with the time opportunity. Like over four hours. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not bragging about how much time I can waste in a day. But when you can kick back with no worries and have the chance, wouldn’t it be great to be able to fill that time feeling real good? I also made that statement to prove most anyone can do it. Maybe not to such an extreme, but what helps me do that, may help you extend your Flying time.

What I do simply, is to control my urge to climax by backing off when it’s almost time, reduce or stop the stroke for a few seconds to stop the urgency and start again slowly. After awhile the pressure becomes pretty strong in the tadpole factory and I find it best to let a little pre-cum to dribble out. I usually wait a longer time before resuming my Flyte here. Typically, I use the spray paint can shake technique to stay aroused.

Once the immediate urge to follow that pre-cum with an end cap busting load has subsided, I start again slowly. It’s usually here where I find my “mesa”. I used to call it “plateau-ing”, but most seem to prefer the term “edging”. Once you reach that level you will have much greater control of when you climax.

The most important part in controlling yourself while getting to the edge is having strong Kegels. I won’t go into the how-to’s here. (Just Google Kegel.) I was fortunate to learn about this early in my teens and worked hard at the advice I read. (omg, did I really type that?)

Another thing that helps me get to and maintain an edge is subtle prostrate stimulation. For me it’s the Aneros. It helps your Kegel muscles help.

These techniques work well for me with my hand or using the Fleshlight. No doubt, the FL feels much better and the time I can hold off is reduced, but it’s all relative.

Read the “Adjusting Your Flyte” post for help in getting there with the Fleshlight, but you have to know how to get there with training wheels before you take your first long ride!

Friday

Back Door Man

I like to augment my FLytes on occasion with a bit of prostate stimulation from time to time. I've been a big, horny fan of the Aneros. I have 3 different models and they all work wonders.

It's also a great tool for working your Kegel muscles which are very important in achieving extreme edging times aka lotsa stroke stamina.

Get an Aneros in place ASAP!

Questions & Answers

Here's a section to post your questions about the Fleshlight. If I can't answer it, I will get it for you. Just hit the comments button at the bottom of this post.

Here's a Question I found on the FleshBoard I wanted to post here:

Question:
I have been a FLyer for 2 months now and love every moment BUT, I am now on my second insert: my first one developed a split inside and it eventually got too big and effected the pleasure. Now the second newer insert has developed the same thing. What I use is the Lady Speed Bump (w/ID Glide) and sense it being the Lady design I tend to "do it" always entering it in the same direction (clitoris down). I'll continue to buy whatever I need but I ask for anyone to let me know any similar problems or advice?

Answer:
This was a question on the Board recently. There were a few responses as to why this was occurring, predominately blaming or defending the Inside/Out (I/O) method of maintaining (cleaning/drying/powdering). For me, it’s not cut and dry!

I have acquired 11 inserts over the past year and have been pretty much rotating myself thru them. I don’t use the butt ST I have much because I don’t like pushing thru the mass to get to the heat. (My personal preference)

I have experienced cracks, as described, in only two of them. I have since replaced my old style (regular) Super Ribbed and the Ice STWW (old style) has become a rarely-used decapitated Vaseline JO sleeve.

I have always attributed my splits to using a conditioner that may have had oil. I never turned my inserts inside out until after using them for a couple of months, when Dan agreed with my query re I/O. I did this for a month or so. Some started to develop splits; coincidentally Ladies both!

They were also the only inserts I used conditioner with, ergo it’s not cut & dry for me at least.

o There may have been some issue content re the older inserts. I haven't had any issue with my predominately Lady ST Gold series.

o I will never turn my inserts I/O anymore. I don’t feel it’s a necessary stress imposed with my effective maintenance style.

o Conditioner ingredients need to be examined thoroughly before using.

o Silicone lube is something I have avoided; that’s a personal choice. (ID Glide is water-based.) Use of a Silicone lube is neither recommended, nor condemned by ILF or myself.

In my opinion, using these guidelines should help your inserts give you years of glorious pleasure.

One last note: In the original post, the writer stated an average 3-hour plus session. Copper is jealous! I could only do that with my hand. You must be burning the lube there buddy! You are just probably wearing that poor baby out!

Question
hi Copper... i just got my super ribbed insert yesterday. i just want to know one thing, if water is presence inside the insert for some time (after the cleaning processes), will it affect the shapes and tightness of the insert? thanks

Answer
Water will not affect the structure of the insert at all! "For some time" of water being inside the insert needs definition. How long? Mine are usually moist for a day while they air out naturally. If you keep water sealed up over time, you will undoubtedly develop mold/bacteria. But if you just got your insert, I doubt you've been there. With a propering "airing out" over a day, you should be fine. Do not en-CASE your insert if it's still wet!

CASE STUDY
Ques #1:
hi i am new to the fleshlight site and confused as to what the gold series is...on the websites home page it has this icon about a gold series that they say is their newest series and this contradicts with what u say on ur webpage...i copied the link and page below...i would really appreciate it if u could tell me if u were talking about an older gold series or that this gold series is not their newest series and is in fact old...thanks
obviously u know what u wrote on ur page but just to refresh ur memory and show you what i read and why i am confused i copied it:
'When “Gold” had its debut, ILF added the “New Stuff” on its website. Since then, the whole series was released under “Special Inserts”. Today, it’s appropriately referred to as “Enhanced Sensations”.'

and also this:

'A Word about “Gold”!
There has been some confusion about what gold really is. That’s because ILF released the first prototype models made from the new rods in a new, gold-colored insert. The success was astounding, and well deserved. It was exactly what us “veterans” had been asking for in an insert.

Because of the reception, they released a new line of ST models using the new molding rods in almost all of the same colors. So when someone says the “gold series”, they are referring to the newer ST models versus the older style; and not necessarily the color.

Other than the regular insert, you can find all the other Gold series inserts under “Enhanced Sensations”. u talk bout the gold series as an old thing, just the color they used as prototypes for the new enhanced sensations that are available in all colors now.'

Ans #1:
Sorry if I made that clear as mud. It is deceiving and I tried to clear it up which is why I wrote what you copied .. from my site.

The ILF website is not always updated as a whole. “Gold” as a model (with the newer ribs IS the newest design. And it originally only came in Gold color, hence the page you copied. Since that page was put up, they released the “Gold” model series in different
colors.

Any ST you get today and the UT, as well I believe, will be in the gold series of model. If it’s still like mud, let me know. I’ll try a different approach.
Copp

Ques #2:
thanks a lot for clearing that up. unfortunately I ordered the gold series which is 5 dollars more and gold is not a color I like. if i knew that the enhanced sensations were just as new as this gold series i def wouldve done the 3 for 2 deal and def would not have gotten a gold container. i tried calling them after i got your email to cancel the order but all the lines were busy and then i got an email confirming my shipment ah! do u think they will give me a refund if i just return the box to sender without opening it obviously, so then i can order the 3 for 2 deal? i looked on their website and it didn’t say anything about returns so should i just keep trying to call? thanks for the help.

Ans #2:
You should keep calling til you get through. They can change a lot of things after your confirm comes. And if it’s too late, they’ll tell ya how to fix it. I believe they will take the unopened box back without question.

I would however get the gold case anyway. It’s the best made of the 3 cases. More sturdy and a thicker retaining ring. The color doesn’t matter that much when ur in action; but I have been trying to get them to make the “gold” case in a cobalt blue.

Good luck,
copp

Ques #3:
thanks for the help again. couple more questions so rry:(...the gold series I know u said is now all part of the enhanced series but on the gold page there is only one option for the vagina; that is the same insert as the super ribbed super tight in the enhanced series?.....i was able to get through and they said i could return it. but u think i should keep both the gold insert and case anyway? or are u recommending returning it and then separately ordering the gold case for $16 and then the 3 for 2 deal that i want. and last questions, about cases...so the gold case is better made than the original and ICE cases? i thought they would all be the same since they are all the same price. anyway they are all the same size right? so if I keep the gold case and insert i ordered i can also get the 3 for 2 deal and they will all fit in the gold case as well? thanks a lot, i promise no more questions.

Ans #3:
Man! You’re keeping me busy! ;o) Glad you got through. Apparently it was too late for
them to change it before it shipped.

Again, the gold page is older and not updated. Don’t go by anything on that page! Everything has changed except that page on their website.

Return the whole box intact or better yet, refuse delivery to save on shipping. You can’t do anything fun with a case alone and if you don’t won’t a gold-colored insert, then why bother.

The Gold page you keep referring to is yes, the STR. That’s the only tightness model they originally started with. You can get the same insert (STR)in any color in the other pages.

Since that release, they introduced the new ST line including the STWW & STSB and smooth ST. Skip the gold page. If you want a 342 deal other than the options listed you can do that too. You’ll prol need help doing that too; lemmeno.

Refuse the delivery and email me what you want for a 342 in terms of model (STWW, STSB, Reg, etc.), color(s) and openings. I help you get it right.

As for the cases, they are all the same size and accommodate all inserts. The original gray case is fine, but has slightly, lighter thickness. In itself, that’s good; but the retaining ring that holds the insert in the case is larger in inside diameter and less effective in holding it in place. The Ice case improved that but it has its own issues, though remedied with some sandpaper, with the threads. The end cap can, and has, gotten stuck at the MOST
inappropriate time. The gold case has so far never given me any issues. The threads work as they should and the retaining ring holds the insert where it belongs. The pricing is what it is; the value to me is having a better designed case that’s more functional
after they listened to their users.

Hope this answers your last batch of questions. Don’t worry about asking again; I like to help my fellow man find the best way to do what we do!

Send me your wish list before your original delivery arrives and I’ll walk you through it.

Nuts & Bolts Of Shipping

OK, you've done it! Congratulations on ordering your Fleshlight. Here's what happens in between that moment of decision and the moment of Truth when you open the box.

Once your order is received, a confirmation is sent to the email address that you supplied. It will have your 5-digit order number on it. This is important to know should you for some reason need to call Customer Service (877 251-5355)about your order, like if you forgot to order a case or you changed your mind. You will receive this soon after ordering within their normal business hours of 9-5 Pacific Coast Time. So it depends on what time of the day you order for how long the response is.

The next event is the "shipped" email. This depends on a few things but primarily your method of payment. Credit/debit card orders are shipped usually within 24 hours. Checks and money orders have to clear first before the order is even processed. Once payment is confirmed and processed it goes to shipping. When the UPS sticker is put on the order a notification goes out to UPS for a pick-up and an email goes out to you with the UPS tracking number. It's a long number up to 25 digits. You can track your order in the UPS tracking system.

Keep in mind that UPS doesn't pick up your package immediately. They probably only pick up orders once a day. Until they actually scan it, UPS will only have Billing information. Once it is scanned at pick-up you should be able to painstakingly watch your Fleshlight move closer to your horny destinantion. This could be about 12 hours.

The packaging is extremely discreet and nobody but you and me will know what's in that box, unless someone is rude enough to open your mail. (I pass a lot of UPS trucks on my commute and find myself wondering how many discreet little FL boxes are on THAT truck!)

The amount of time it takes to arrive naturally varies depending on how far you live from Las Vegas. General US times are west and West mid-West in 3 business days; East Coast 5 business days. International is too much to elaborate here. Perhaps others could use the comment button to simply state country and business days it took to arrive since shipping notice.

Last, a word about email. The order and shipped notices come from the address of shipping@sexfantasyzone-dot-com. Some ISPs don't like words like that and will block them as spam and you will never receive your notifications. I recommend getting a free Yahoo address if you suspect a potential issue. Hotmail is probably as accepting. If you don't receive your emails as outlined above, I suggest you call their toll free number (877 251-5355) and tell them your email addy and time of order. They've been very friendly and helpful to me in the past.

Be Prepared!

In the meantime, be a good Boy Scout and make sure you are ready for that eventful day. For me, there were 3 major items:

o Lube
o Heating supplies, and
o Porn, with the best scenes cued up.

Lube – Don’t rely on the sample that is shipped for your intro. Get yourself an ample supply beforehand. Interactive Life Forms (ILF) also sells lube on their website here.

Wet Lite is not a bad lube, but there are a lot of alternatives to try. I personally use Astroglide, diluted by 30% with water. I usually get mine at a local “cosmetics” shop, but it’s available in most pharmacies. Another site worth checking out is www.lubery.com if you want to buy it online.

The most important point about lube is that it MUST be water-based and contain no oils. Some of my fellow FLyers have used certain conditioners to their satisfaction. Be careful with the ingredients if you choose to go this route. I have destroyed two inserts with that experiment.

Another handy device to have ahead of time is a good dispenser, especially if you dilute the lube with water. I use a well-washed out Fleet enema bottle, because it’s cheap and very functional. You could also find an appropriate bottle at camping supply stores or websites.

Heat – Most of us use hot water to warm up our baby. I did it this way when I first started by filling up a bucket with the hottest tap water I could. The bucket is big enough to soak 2 inserts at once. (whack-on; whack-off)

Because I don’t have a sink near my “entertainment” area, and because I like to take longer than the hot water’s warmth lasts, I levitated to using a heating pad. For me, it’s less muss and less fuss. Be careful if you do go with the heat though. I melted a few orifices a little by having it on too high, too long. I now have found a perfect remedy for me.

I use the Kaz HP710. I can leave my insert in the case of course, for days on the lowest setting of “Warm”. Always ready; always able!

Either way, being prepared means to have your bucket or pad ready. So “Be Prepared!”

Porn – I don’t think I need to elaborate on this part. Just be prepared with the juice that turns you loose!

Brown arrives! Next.

Brown’s At Your Door!

Whoppie!

Okay! Okay! Calm down! Don’t grab it from the guy, rip it open and start thrusting away at it. You waited maybe a week for this delivery; a few more minutes, you can show a little more restraint.

The Package Itself
ILF uses a standard, brown, cardboard shipping box; measuring 10” x 4” x 4”. If you order a standard fleshlight (case with insert), The insert will be packed in the FL case. If you order a 342 on the other hand, the 1st insert will be packed in the case in one box and the other 2 inserts will be another box, same size taped together as a double box.

The only thing on the box is the UPS shipping label. The label is as discreet as the box itself. The return address is:
“B. Shubin
(702) 251-1555
ILF, INC
2830 Commerce Street
North Las Vegas, NV 89030-3908”

That’s it. No muss. No fuss. Easily defendable as a computer part shipment, etc.

Opening
Carefully use a knife to slit the packing tape. DON’T shove the blade in deep to get at it!
A regular shipment will have a FL case with the insert inside, and a sample pack of lube AND INSTRUCTIONS. Read them. I know it's not man-like; just read them.

Preparing
Pull the insert out of the Case. It will probably have a hard, plastic tube inside it. Remove and discard it. It’s merely for shipping stability.

The next thing to do is thoroughly clean it of the powder it ships in. They use a stronger powder than normal maintenance requires and if it’s not rinsed well, the powder may gum up when mixed with your choice of lube. Not a crime, but you want to have the best start possible, right?

Speaking of washing, NEVER use soap. Only use water! And Isopropyl Alcohol if so inclined.

Well, now you are ready to warm that puppy. Hold that insert and wait. We’ll talk about that next post!

Until then......

Lube-Be-Do!

First, let me start this post with what NOT to use! Specifically, anything that has oil in it, particularly oil-based lubes; Vaseline, Baby Oil, Crisco, etc.

The polymers in the insert do not react well to oil and if you use it, you have demonstrated that you have no respect for money or your precious insert!

With that said, many Forum contributors have tried a variety of different lubrication products...from hair conditioner to pizza pie grease! (Seriously!)

Water-based lubes are the only known safe lubricants for use with Fleshlight inserts. These include Astroglide, ID Lube, KY (including KY Warming) and Wet Lube.

The Fleshlight site offers as a convenience, Wet Lube, at a competitive price. Another good online site to shop for lube is www.lubery.com.

There have been ongoing discussions amongst users about the virtues of using hair conditioners. Avid users will swear by it and espouse the economical value. Conditioner is a LOT cheaper than lube. I even had a friend who did a cost/benefit analysis on using conditioner. In summary, his analysis determined that the conditioner saved enough money over time to buy a replacement insert before any damage occurred. Interesting!

If you should choose that route, be sure you read and know the ingredients. Not all conditioners are the same and some actually have oil in them...even within the same family, such as Herbal Essences.

Silicone-based lubes are another source of discussion. ILF, The Fleshlight company says they haven't researched their long-term "safeness". Users like it and proclaim no damage over time.

I, of course, have my own personal preference. I tried a number of water-based lubes, including all those mentioned above. I also tried two different conditioners. I like the Astroglide lube mixed (diluted) with water. I previously used a 50/50 mix. After the Gold inserts came out, I needed to reduce the water amount to make it a 70/30 mix. This helped prevent "rug burns" on my weinerschnitzel from using the ST inserts.

Astroglide and other water-based lubes are also generally available at your local pharmacy, WalMart, cosmetics shops, etc.

To create a diluted mix you need two things: a mixing container, preferably one that can double as an applicator, and time. After you mix the two, you should wait 24 hours before using. This allows the two to get to know each other. If you shake the container and you see bubbles, it ain't fully cooked. The dilution can be used with any water-based lube.

The mixing container I use is a cleaned-out Fleet enema bottle. The enema is cheap and easily disposed of. The bottle is clear and has a long tip, ideal for pointing down the back of the insert and squirting "on the FLy". If this is too much for you, you might want to peruse the camping stores/catalogs.

The last thing I want to mention is that warming the lube is almost as important as warming the insert. It adds that special something. When I'm using water to warm, I just drop my lube bottle in the bucket. It floats nicely! Since I more often use a heating pad, I don't always find it convenient to warm. But it definately makes a difference.

Hope this helps.

Warming Your Insert

First, I would like to point out that we have reached the point where personal preferences play a key role in your individual enjoyment and I have mine. I will add alternatives that I know of from experience or from reading others practices. Again, I encourage all of you to make use of the “Comment” button at the end of each entry to add your 2 cents or ask questions.

The Fleshlight insert is best when warmed to body temperature. Some of my friends actually use the friction of their stroke and their body heat to warm the insert. I like to insert myself into a warm insert from the get-go. That first insertion is the best! If you’ve been with a partner, you know what I mean.

OK, so if you want to heat your insert before using, you have 2 alternatives: wet and dry.

Wet:
The soaking in hot water is probably the most popular method. Some guys are content with running hot tap water down the canal. Others soak in a tub/sink/bucket of hot water. Either way, it needs to be done for five minutes or more to get it right.

I use the water method when I’m caught with my pants down in having the opportunity without a warmed insert, or when I want to use more than one insert for a session. (I have been known to set battles between different inserts for comparison’s sake.) See Copper’s Fleshlight Adventures & Analysis.

For the Wet treatment, I use a laundry room utility-type bucket (the kind you would wash your car with). I fill it with the hottest tap water I can get. If that’s not hot enough, I “nuke” some water and add it to the bucket to raise the temperature. After placing the two or three inserts in the bucket, I use the case to keep them submerged. The big cap filled with water floating on top and the case with end cap on, filled with water holds my inserts down well.

Hot water has its drawbacks if your in for the “long-haul”. I find the insert loses its heat within 10-15 minutes. Unless you have a hot water source next to you as you “take care of business”. A method of keeping the water warm while in session would help.

Dry:
I will start by stating this is my preferable method and most often utilized method of heating for me.

As I stated in “Be Prepared” I use the Kaz HP710. I can leave my insert in the case, of course, for days on the lowest setting of “Warm”. Always ready; always able!

For me, this is the ideal warming method…once you get the hang of your heating pad settings. Knowing your heating pad's capabilities is key. I disfigured 2 insert faces in learning what works.

The primary benefits of using a heating pad are:

o longer heat retention (about an hour)
o no water to deal with until done
o with proper planning, always ready.

My kaz pad measures 12” X 14”. To pre-warm I put the insert in the case.

I can leave my FL on Warm in the kaz for days at a time and if I stay ahead of myself, I never have to worry about heating at all. Even at the lowest setting, I still have to wait a few minutes before diving in.

Three tips:
First, don't get eager and start too high. I would start from the bottom up and leave for 1-1/2 to 2 hours to test. If that's not good enough, turn it up one notch only. It may try your patience and horniness, but eager beaver copper hurt two inserts. They do melt! Fortunately the damage is only cosmetic.

Second, if you have the size pad I have, wrap the case diagonally with the end cap towards the power cord. Wrap the adjacent corner over the big cap and roll the pad around the case. I just wrap the cord around it to tie it. Others use hair bands, etc.

Last, stand/prop it up so no weight of the insert is held against the side of the case by gravity, and cause melting. The case gets a bit hot so make sure you loosen both caps before wrapping. The big cap should just be started on the threads, no tighter.

Whether you use Wet or Dry, the warmth adds that extra something you might want from your Fleshlight experience.

Adjusting Your FLyte!

Experiencing a good FL adventure requires more than knowing “Which Insert Is Best For Me” as well as having “Lube advice”! The best experience requires an understanding of the control of adjusting the end cap and using the right type and amount of lube.

Whatever insert you are using, it can be tight or loose as you stroke. There
are two major issues you may want to consider: your Lube and the End Cap.

I have already written about Lube. The choice is yours. How you handle it: selection; dilute; warm, is part of the personal choice.

The end cap is the other half of controlling your FLite! To each his own, I admit easily, and you soon will learn. I personally find having the end cap off in the beginning while I work myself into a session is best. On those rare occasions, when I might be a little weak, I close the end cap all the way for a nice suck to a full erection and take it from there.

As I get fully worked up, and the lube gets drier, I like to add a good dose of lube and throw the cap on all the way to work the lube in. Once the lube is dispersed, I loosen up the cap for some “breathing” room.

But when that final moment arrives, I clamp that end cap down hard, as I cum to suck ever drop I have to offer!

The bottom line for this topic is that you need to work with what’s best for you and your preferences! Each insert is quite adjustable by adding/reducing lube and changing the end cap tightness. Experimenting with these two “adjustables” will teach you how to get the right combo for the best orgasm!

Technique!

As promised I said I would share techniques when i started this blog.

I was watching Sabrine Maui sitting on top of Lex Steele's rod and she started going round and round with her ass. And I started doing a round and round with the FL half way on my pipe. I liked it!

Used the STSR for that one!

Happy FLying!

BTW: Feel free to post your technique by hitting the comment button here!

Here's another I posted in the FleshBoard:

"I have to say that the new Gold inserts allow for a more enjoyable experience because of the earlier action. It’s not limited to pushing the FL up and down on your rod anymore!

I noticed with the Gold series with the earlier action that you can “play” with the head of your cock, like most cock-suckers do.

The STWW is probably the best.

The STSB however is a great alternative

Hold your horses boys and just jerk the first half of your dick for a good blow job! Unless your GF is Ashley Blue!"

Enjoy

Shaken; not stirred!

Here's another technique I've been working with. You know how you have to shake a new toner printer cartridge before installing; or a spray paint can before spraying? Hold in the center and alternate shake with up & down between left and right.

Well, when I'm close, but want to hold off, I like to hold still and simulate the copy shake with my fl...rapidly. Nice little dick buzz...exciting yet non-explosive and helps me get control over the situation at hand.

Here's some comments from my bud, Bolt_Head:

Hi, I have 6 inserts and been a Flyer for about a year now, I have some time-tested tricks you may find useful:
(All this material tries to cover lesser known techniques I have discovered or someone has mentioned, so not all credit goes to me, but most does :))!

Heating:
1. Try putting your FL in a large pot, then put the pot in the sink, turn on the faucet and let it run inside it, this heats it much faster then just leaving it in hot water.
2. Put your lube in hot water.
3. When done with heating, bring pot to where you're going to use your FL, and put the lube into the hot water so when you re-lube you get warm lubrication again.
------------
Using:
1. Try using it in the shower (old tip).
2. Try short and fast pumps on the tip of your penis.
3. Twist it around your shaft using an indian stick rubbing motion (between your hands twisting them opposite)
4. Hold it with your fingers interlocked while laying down and simulate fucking in the cow girl position (this method also relieves strain on your biceps)
5. My opinion is the STSR Butt is the best =).
6. Discreet lube can be found in this: Use water based hair gel, it works just fine ;)
------------
Cleaning:
1. I dont see the big cleaning fuss, I just wash mine with water and throw it in a trash bag, my FLs are still in great condition, I've never thrown one away.
2. If you are going to just water-and-toss your FL, remember that soaking it in warm water/rinsing it will make it unsticky BEFORE putting in the case =)).
------------
MISC
1. Don't go into using it all tense and expecting to have a total-sexual intercourse release, just use it as you would masturbate -- pure erotic, pure pleasure!

Taking Care of Baby! (Or how to maintain the quality of your Fleshlight investment.)

Your insert, or hopefully set of inserts, cost enough. Cheaper than a single date, it is not enough to want to forego keeping them in tip-top condition, for your beck-and-call!

There are various preferences out there as to how to properly maintain your Fleshlight inserts. Again, I give you my bend and welcome any comments with whatever works for you.

First, the Warnings:

Warning # 1 – If you use a heating pad, PLEASE be careful with the temp controls and length of time left in the pad. I have warped two inserts learning the hard way. Don’t repeat my mistakes. The inserts aren’t technically damaged; just cosmetically.

Warning #2 – If you try conditioners, please read the ingredients beforehand. Assure yourself there aren’t any oils in it. I experimented with conditioners with my older Super Ribbed and Regular. My Super Ribbed split beyond practical use, so I converted it for a different use (but that’s another story) and my Regular insert is showing some splits as well. All my other inserts are fine; the common denominator has to be the conditioner I used.

Now that the Warnings are done, let’s look at what do after a session, in terms of cleaning and keeping that tip-top condition.

Splish-Splash – Cleaning is simple! A thorough wash under the faucet or in a bucket of water is all it takes. The smooth canals and the Speed Bump are the easiest to flush clean. The wave and ribbed models require a little finger parlay. I stick a couple fingers into each end and do the “finger handshake”, making sure all those nooks and crannies get flushed. 1-2 minutes tops!

Some guys use Isopropyl Alcohol regularly or occasionally. I never have; that’s your choice.

Take a Powder – OK, so now your insert steps out of the shower. What do you do? When you first get your insert, it is laden with a pretty thick layer of some kind of powder. I recommend washing as much of this off before using. That powder seems to cake up a bit during first use or thereafter.

There are 3 basic powders that most users employ. Corn Starch, Baby Powder and Gold Bond Body Powder. Personally, I prefer the Gold Bond. Baby Powder smells like its name and I grew tired of that scent quickly. Corn Starch never seemed practical to me and Gold Bond has little scent, if any and a nice consistency.

In the first months of use, you may notice parts of the insert sticking together; the outside “fins” to the center shaft, or at the opening of the insert.

(I believe that a number of users that have complained about “flaking” or “holes” in their insert had pulled the sticky parts away from each other, instead of coaxing the separation with powder.)

I powder my insert this way:
After washing, I spread out two paper towels. I shake the powder all over the outside of the insert and then squeeze the bottom as I shoot a blast down the orifice. I then shake it out over the paper towels. If I use two inserts, I roll the second one in the paper towel; like flouring chicken before frying.

After a while, your inserts won’t need as frequent of a powdering.

Some users have never powdered their inserts, proclaiming that the lube loosens everything up. Again, the choice is yours.

Storage – How does one keep his inserts healthy, wealthy and wise after a nice bath and perhaps, a powder?

Well, this isn’t always easy. Water shouldn’t be allowed to sit in your insert for any extended period of time for health reasons. It needs to air out. Some users need to keep their Fleshlight to themselves.

I personally keep my inserts after use & rinsing, wrapped in a two-sheet paper towel roll with the front and back exposed for air. I hide it high behind a cardboard box for a day.

This works well for me. When I take the paper towel "coat" off and I notice too much stickiness, I know it’s time to powder.

Hope this gives you an idea or two on what you may want or need to do. Just remember, keep those Fleshlight inserts well maintained. The small amount of time is well worth it!

Shower Shenanigans

I had never tried this before, but I recently wanted to use the privacy of the bathroom for my FL sessions. I remembered a lengthy post from a shower aficionado on the FleshBoard and checked it out again.

The routine involves filling the case with insert inside, with warm water, from the small end cap side. Obviously, you need the large top cap screwed on all the way. The water sits in the case warming the insert while you take care of other business, like getting clean.

When the time is right, put the end cap on, turn upside down and remove the large cap. Care should be taken to retain as much water inside the case as possible. Lube up with conditioner (oil-free, of course) and enjoy the plunge! The water adds a nice touch of excitement.

I used my Speed Bump for the first try, but found the STWW is a great wet, sloppy, shower slut!

I still say the Gold case is the best they have made and I keep that one upstairs for the shower!

Ice collection takes a shop tour next!

Secrets From The Shed

For any prima donnas, you may not be interested in this thread. But for me, part of the excitement of being a man is being a man; a sweat-dripping, hard as nails force that needs to be reckoned with. If you haven’t a partner available, the Fleshlight is the best alternative!

As some of you know, I have quite a collection of inserts! My personal artillery consists of:
o Regular in Lady
o Original Wonder Wave
o Original Super Tight Wonder Wave
o Ice ST Regular (Butt)
o Ice WW
o Ice STWW
o Ice Super Ribbed
o Gold ST Super Ribbed
o Gold ST Speed Bump
o Gold ST Wonder Wave

I also have all 3 cases to hold my diversified portfolio!

Anyway….to the point!

With a desire to set up additional “secret” spots to be able to enjoy my Flying adventures when Mr. Happy is so inspired, I decided to transfer my entire Ice collection to the Shed. I made room in my Craftsman tool cabinet for a dedicated, locked FL drawer. Besides the Ice collection, I added the FL Pump, a bottle of AstroGlide and a few motivating periodicals.

So the Adventure begins!

I’m mowing the lawn, it’s hot and humid and I’m sweating my ass off! I’m horny as hell and care more for my “penisial” needs than how the freaking lawn looks. The house is filled with wifey and kids! What’s a Flyer to do?

I put the mower in the shade, step into the Shed, lock the door from the inside and open the Fly drawer! That’s what I do!

I bring out the magazines and push my shorts leg aside to get the pump engaged. Mr. Happy has no problem standing up to the task. I then fill my WW Ice insert with lube and a very ready, willing and able recruit!

It was a HOT Flyte! However, I learned a few things as I was profusely dripping sweat in that Shed.

o DON’T lean over your mags so the sweat doesn’t drip onto the pages.
o DO have a towel to wipe your hands before you turn the pages.
o DO get an AC unit for your Shed!

Otherwise, it was a great, very HOT time! copper’s ½ hour Getaway! Actually, I think my lawn looks better for it!

If you too have an “extra” place, you should look at the 3-4-2 deal and stock it well. At the very least, consider an extra case (Gold recommended) for a 2nd insert you just happen to have lying around. You’ll never know when Mr. Happy will get angry if you don’t meat his demands!

Honey! Why are you spending so much time in the Shed?
