Here's a Question I found on the FleshBoard I wanted to post here:
Question:I have been a FLyer for 2 months now and love every moment BUT, I am now on my second insert: my first one developed a split inside and it eventually got too big and effected the pleasure. Now the second newer insert has developed the same thing. What I use is the Lady Speed Bump (w/ID Glide) and sense it being the Lady design I tend to "do it" always entering it in the same direction (clitoris down). I'll continue to buy whatever I need but I ask for anyone to let me know any similar problems or advice?Answer:This was a question on the Board recently. There were a few responses as to why this was occurring, predominately blaming or defending the Inside/Out (I/O) method of
maintaining (cleaning/drying/powdering). For me, it’s not cut and dry!
I have acquired 11 inserts over the past year and have been pretty much rotating myself thru them. I don’t use the butt ST I have much because I don’t like pushing thru the mass to get to the heat. (My personal preference)
I have experienced cracks, as described, in only two of them. I have since replaced my old style (regular) Super Ribbed and the Ice STWW (old style) has become a rarely-used decapitated Vaseline JO sleeve.
I have always attributed my splits to using a conditioner that may have had oil. I never turned my inserts inside out until after using them for a couple of months, when Dan agreed with my query re I/O. I did this for a month or so. Some started to develop splits; coincidentally Ladies both!
They were also the only inserts I used conditioner with, ergo it’s not cut & dry for me at least.
o There may have been some issue content re the older inserts. I haven't had any issue with my predominately Lady ST Gold series.
o I will never turn my inserts I/O anymore. I don’t feel it’s a necessary stress imposed with my effective
maintenance style.
o Conditioner ingredients need to be examined thoroughly before using.
o Silicone lube is something I have avoided; that’s a personal choice. (ID Glide is water-based.) Use of a Silicone lube is neither recommended, nor condemned by ILF or myself.
In my opinion, using these guidelines should help your inserts give you years of glorious pleasure.
One last note: In the original post, the writer stated an average 3-hour plus session. Copper is jealous! I could only do that with my hand. You must be burning the lube there buddy! You are just probably wearing that poor baby out!
Questionhi Copper... i just got my super ribbed insert yesterday. i just want to know one thing, if water is presence inside the insert for some time (after the cleaning processes), will it affect the shapes and tightness of the insert? thanksAnswerWater will not affect the structure of the insert at all! "For some time" of water being inside the insert needs definition. How long? Mine are usually moist for a day while they air out naturally. If you keep water sealed up over time, you will undoubtedly develop mold/bacteria. But if you just got your insert, I doubt you've been there. With a propering "airing out" over a day, you should be fine. Do not en-CASE your insert if it's still wet!
CASE STUDYQues #1:hi i am new to the fleshlight site and confused as to what the gold series is...on the websites home page it has this icon about a gold series that they say is their newest series and this contradicts with what u say on ur webpage...i copied the link and page below...i would really appreciate it if u could tell me if u were talking about an older gold series or that this gold series is not their newest series and is in fact old...thanks
obviously u know what u wrote on ur page but just to refresh ur memory and show you what i read and why i am confused i copied it:
'When “Gold” had its debut, ILF added the “New Stuff” on its website. Since then, the whole series was released under “Special Inserts”. Today, it’s appropriately referred to as “Enhanced Sensations”.'
and also this:
'A Word about “Gold”!
There has been some confusion about what gold really is. That’s because ILF released the first prototype models made from the new rods in a new, gold-colored insert. The success was astounding, and well deserved. It was exactly what us “veterans” had been asking for in an insert.
Because of the reception, they released a new line of ST models using the new molding rods in almost all of the same colors. So when someone says the “gold series”, they are referring to the newer ST models versus the older style; and not necessarily the color.
Other than the regular insert, you can find all the other Gold series inserts under “Enhanced Sensations”. u talk bout the gold series as an old thing, just the color they used as prototypes for the new enhanced sensations that are available in all colors now.'Ans #1:Sorry if I made that clear as mud. It is deceiving and I tried to clear it up which is why I wrote what you copied .. from my site.
The ILF website is not always updated as a whole. “Gold” as a model (with the newer ribs IS the newest design. And it originally only came in Gold color, hence the page you copied. Since that page was put up, they released the “Gold” model series in different
colors.
Any ST you get today and the UT, as well I believe, will be in the gold series of model. If it’s still like mud, let me know. I’ll try a different approach.

Ques #2:thanks a lot for clearing that up. unfortunately I ordered the gold series which is 5 dollars more and gold is not a color I like. if i knew that the enhanced sensations were just as new as this gold series i def wouldve done the 3 for 2 deal and def would not have gotten a gold container. i tried calling them after i got your email to cancel the order but all the lines were busy and then i got an email confirming my shipment ah! do u think they will give me a refund if i just return the box to sender without opening it obviously, so then i can order the 3 for 2 deal? i looked on their website and it didn’t say anything about returns so should i just keep trying to call? thanks for the help.Ans #2:You should keep calling til you get through. They can change a lot of things after your confirm comes. And if it’s too late, they’ll tell ya how to fix it. I believe they will take the unopened box back without question.
I would however get the gold case anyway. It’s the best made of the 3 cases. More sturdy and a thicker retaining ring. The color doesn’t matter that much when ur in action; but I have been trying to get them to make the “gold” case in a cobalt blue.
Good luck,

Ques #3:thanks for the help again. couple more questions so rry:(...the gold series I know u said is now all part of the enhanced series but on the gold page there is only one option for the vagina; that is the same insert as the super ribbed super tight in the enhanced series?.....i was able to get through and they said i could return it. but u think i should keep both the gold insert and case anyway? or are u recommending returning it and then separately ordering the gold case for $16 and then the 3 for 2 deal that i want. and last questions, about cases...so the gold case is better made than the original and ICE cases? i thought they would all be the same since they are all the same price. anyway they are all the same size right? so if I keep the gold case and insert i ordered i can also get the 3 for 2 deal and they will all fit in the gold case as well? thanks a lot, i promise no more questions.Ans #3:Man! You’re keeping me busy! ;o) Glad you got through. Apparently it was too late for
them to change it before it shipped.
Again, the gold page is older and not updated. Don’t go by anything on that page! Everything has changed except that page on their website.
Return the whole box intact or better yet, refuse delivery to save on shipping. You can’t do anything fun with a case alone and if you don’t won’t a gold-colored insert, then why bother.
The Gold page you keep referring to is yes, the STR. That’s the only tightness model they originally started with. You can get the same insert (STR)in any color in the other pages.
Since that release, they introduced the new ST line including the STWW & STSB and smooth ST. Skip the gold page. If you want a 342 deal other than the options listed you can do that too. You’ll prol need help doing that too; lemmeno.
Refuse the delivery and email me what you want for a 342 in terms of model (STWW, STSB, Reg, etc.), color(s) and openings. I help you get it right.
As for the cases, they are all the same size and accommodate all inserts. The original gray case is fine, but has slightly, lighter thickness. In itself, that’s good; but the retaining ring that holds the insert in the case is larger in inside diameter and less effective in holding it in place. The Ice case improved that but it has its own issues, though remedied with some sandpaper, with the threads. The end cap can, and has, gotten stuck at the MOST
inappropriate time. The gold case has so far never given me any issues. The threads work as they should and the retaining ring holds the insert where it belongs. The pricing is what it is; the value to me is having a better designed case that’s more functional
after they listened to their users.
Hope this answers your last batch of questions. Don’t worry about asking again; I like to help my fellow man find the best way to do what we do!
Send me your wish list before your original delivery arrives and I’ll walk you through it.
